ー 世界を席巻するルーマニアンサウンドを体感 ー

世界のミニマルテクノ／ハウスシーンを席巻中のルーマニアンサウンドを紹介するパーティー“Beat In Me”がContactにて開催される。 本年度最後の開催となる今回は、アンダーグラウンドシーン最高峰の1人として絶大な影響力のあるキング、Rhadooが再びContactのフロアーに還って来る。今年４月にRPR SOUNDSYSTEMとしてLIQUIDROOMで披露したあの最上級のプレイは未だ来場者の記憶の中に鮮明に残っているものと思われるが、ソロとしては昨年２月以来の来日となる。Studioには加えてBIMレジデントのRAHAが出演。一方のContactフロアには、ロシアのトップレーベルArma17のレジデントVladaが登場する。近年、世界のトップフェスの常連にもなっている実力派の彼女と共に、DJ SHIBATA, YASU, Tommyと言った国内トップクラスの手練が隙なく顔を揃える両フロアー共に実に豪華な一夜となる。世界のダンスミュージックの最前線、そしてグルーヴをリアルに体感して欲しい。

ー Experience the sounds of Romania that’s sweeping the world ー

Beat In Me, a party that introduces the minimal techno and house scene of Romania, returns to Contact with Rhadoo. In April of this year, he performed with his group RPR SOUNDSYSTEM at LIQUIDROOM, which may still be fresh in some people’s memories. The king of the underground scene embarks on his solo return for the first time in 2 years. Supporting the main act in Studio X is none other than BIM resident RAHA. Contact floor will feature Vlada, the resident of Russia’s top label〈Arma17〉. In recent years, she has been playing at some of the world’s top festivals. Sharing the decks with the skilled Vlada are Japan’s cream of the crop DJ Shibata, Yasu, and Tommy. With both floors in full swing, this night will be a chance to experience the forefront of world’s dance music.

アンダーグラウンドシーンの最重要人物として、絶大な存在感で影響を与え続けているルーマニアン・ハウス・シーンのボス、Rhadoo。ジャンルに縛られる事なく、新旧のテクノやハウスをはじめ様々な楽曲を幅広く使いこなし、卓越したDJスキルはもちろんのこと洗練されたリミックスや絶妙なプロダクションによって、世界で最も注目されるDJの一人である。また、'07年に盟友 Petre Inspirescu、Rareshと共にスタートさせた[a:rpia:r]は、レーベルとしての地位を瞬く間に獲得するにとどまらず、世界中でカルト的な支持を集めシーンでの絶対的な地位を構築している。

Rhadoo is one of the most important figures in Romanian house scene, as well as the underground scene. His DJ and production skills knows no boundaries. His style blends the old with the new, adding new elements to modern electronic music. In 2007, he founded the label [a:rpia:r] with his trusted friends Inspirescu and Raresh. The label’s reputation grew rapidly worldwide and is now a solid platform for artists and music connoisseurs.

“Spinning around”という言葉こそが、彼女の音楽/ライフスタイルをより良く表しているであろう。 ロシア・モスクワ出身、現在はベルリンを拠点とするVladaは、これまでモスクワの名クラブArma 17でレジデントを務め、パーティthe Volksの共同主催者としてキュレーションを務めるなど、10年に渡りワールドワイドにエレクトロニックミュージックシーンにて活動してきた。

‘Spinning around’ is a definition relevant both to her records and lifestyle - Berlin- based Vlada remains Moscow-attached. More then 10 years of deep dive into worldwide electronic scene resulted in residency in Arma17 and curation of The Volks parties as a co-founder. The freedom of music coming out of its aerial nature was transfused to her since childhood. Vlada started academic piano education at the age of six and can’t stop this lifetime affair. Growing up around Jazz and Funk melodies from father’s record- player tinged her tune with warm and deep colours and on top raised the affection to vinyl aesthetics and digging. The interruption of conventional boundaries in all the senses was empowered by constant traveling. It immersed her perception into different cultural peculiarities and taught to juggle with meanings and styles. Vlada aims to represent eclectic manner where any genre features seem to eliminate and morph to a special type of unity. Yet sensitive and feminine her power is brave enough to give a chance to new unexpected outcomes of improvisation.
